Someone on my facebook posted that Natural disasters have to happen to cleanse the earth of the dead so that new life can come and replace it. She believes we need them and without them the world would be completely destroyed. I was totally baffled by this statement then she added that it was "God's will for it to happen.." Where is the logic in this.. I'm totally amazed that she even said it.

Now..  would it not be more prudent to pray for the natural disasters to not happen? She is essentially saying that natural disasters happen to bring new life to replace the ones lost during a natural disaster.. does that make sense to you? New people will replace the ones who died during said disaster. Forgive me, but I'm so very glad I don't follow her god.. what kind of god would allow this to happen, would want this to happen?
“You have to find something that you love enough to be able to take risks, jump over the hurdles and break through the brick walls that are always going to be placed in front of you. If you don't have that kind of feeling for what it is you are doing, you'll stop at the first giant hurdle.”~ George Lucas

I'm not sure as to how I feel about posting my fan fiction on Amazon. Sure I have alot of it, but well something just doesn't sit right with this whole situation. I have thought about submitting 1 just to see how that works out for me. I still have alot of research on the whole process before I do anything though.

You are The High Priestess

Science, Wisdom, Knowledge, Education.

The High Priestess is the card of knowledge, instinctual, supernatural, secret knowledge. She holds scrolls of arcane information that she might, or might not reveal to you. The moon crown on her head as well as the crescent by her foot indicates her willingness to illuminate what you otherwise might not see, reveal the secrets you need to know. The High Priestess is also associated with the moon however and can also indicate change or fluxuation, particularily when it comes to your moods.

What Tarot Card are You?
Take the Test to Find Out.

You only need to open the door.

Finally got my internet back.. yay! I've been off since Sunday.. it's been rough taking naps everyday and getting up past 10am, but a gals gotta do what a gals gotta do. I've been redoing my room, getting it ready to be painted.
My bed has a new headboard with Christmas lights on it, new black lace curtains on the windows. I do have a dresser and a desk of clutter to clean up, but it's going slow.. the room won't be painted until my taxes come in.
My end table has become a bookshelf for all of my witchcraft stuffs, supplies are underneath in baskets. Everything is looking good.

How is everyone doing?

P.S. I have a new favorite show... LEVERAGE!!!

Jan. 18, 2008 -- Thousands of scribbled amorous words, hearts, arrows and intertwined initials have been removed this week from the walls of Juliet's house in Verona, Italy, in a radical clean-up of the 13th century structure that is believed to have inspired William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. How do you start something new?

Whether it’s beginning an exercise program, getting going with a task you want to complete, or creating a new business or product from scratch — how do you get started?
It’s one of the most intimidating things. It’s the lack of starting that kills most tasks and projects.
Procrastination is putting off the start. Your new venture gets put off because the start is too hard.Read more... )

‘There are two kinds of people, those who finish what they start and so on.’ ~Robert Byrne
Post written by Leo Babauta.

The early draft of this post sat in my system for about a week. How’s that for irony?
Many of us are good at starting things — it’s the finishing that we need help with.
The truth is, it might seem funny that my post on “How to Finish” sat unfinished for 7 days, but I’m actually decent at finishing. I start a whole bunch of articles and books, and let those ideas germinate. When I’m ready to focus on them, I get them to done pretty easily. Read more... )

In a feat that even the best-selling writers might envy, young-adult author John Green's latest novel is No. 1 on Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble.com even though he's still working on it from his comfy La-Z-Boy in Indianapolis.

With "The Fault in Our Stars," the author has overtaken hot books by Suzanne Collins and Laura Hillenbrand. His book won't be published until the spring of next year.

It helped that Mr. Green, a 33-year-old who first gained attention in 2005 with his debut novel "Looking for Alaska," has more than 1.1 million Twitter followers. Mr. Green is published by Dutton Children's Books, an imprint of Pearson PLC's Penguin Group (USA), but he does his own thing on the Web. "I don't take direction from Penguin," he says.Read more... )

What childhood toy did you desperately want that your parents refused to give you? Do you still think about getting one?
When I was younger I wanted a Ouija board. Never got one no matter how much I begged and pleaded. Once I began working at 13 years old, I was buying my own stuff. {I was a nanny for some kids across the street. I stayed at their house from 6am to 9pm, Monday thru Friday, when the kids went to sleep then their wako step father stayed with them..} Once we moved from Oklahoma to New York I went on a new age rampage and bought all my witchy stuff and 2 OUIJA BOARDS! MWAHAHAHA!! lol

Would you rather be a vampire or a vampire hunter, and why?
I would rather be vampire.. think of it eternal life. I would love to see how things progress through the years and see what new and "exciting" things happen. I run with vampires.. sometime's werewolves..:P
J.K.Rowling announced on YouTube this morning that her new website, Pottermore.com is a unique online reading experience. It will also be the exclusive sales point for the long-awaited Harry Potter e-books.
Pottermore.com will be a place to access digital audiobooks and, for the first time ever, e-books. People will be able to participate on the site and she'll be chiming in with new information about the books and the world that she's been holding on to for years.
Pottermore.com will be open to everyone in October, but a few lucky people will get to see it early. She advises you to follow the owl.
Update: I got the page to load. You can submit your email and you'll be a notice when the site is open in October. But you can also come back on July 31, Harry Potter's birthday and find out how you might be able to get in early.
I think it's much better than an online game, which is what many people were suggesting. I do suspect that there will be game-like qualities about the site like she's used on her personal website.
I do wish it was a new book but I can be content with this.
Update: Leaky is updating their site from the press conference. Rowling will be launching the site with 18,000 words from her, which is reportedly about 1/3 of what she's written. Exciting! Also those beta users on July 31? There will be 1 million of them.

You're a PANTSER! A pantser writes without forethought to where the plot is going--sort of by the seat of her pants method. Youre a free spirited, creative person. You write with passion about what inspires you at the moment, and you probably have a strong voice. Dont worry about writers block--youve a different story. Youve got more story seeds than a hive has bees. When you write, its in disjointed segments. You may write sequentially or in flashes of inspiration, where you connect all your flashes later. People might say you ramble a bit in your work. Your revision process might take several passes, because you really have to whip that first draft into a more marketable shape. Youre novels either hit it big or miss. Theres no in between. Readers either love you, or hate you. Learn to channel that creative energy into a masterpiece and well be seeing your name on the NYT Lists!

"If you write one story, it may be bad; if you write a hundred, you have the odds in your favor." - Edgar Rice Burroughs
Welcome to my writing journal. Here you will find random things I've written through the years. This is a slightly new journal which will be updated on almost a daily basis as I am in the process of moving all of my stories and other writings here and off of other journals. All of my writing is friends only.I like things pretty much dark and gothicy. Alas I do write about other stuff when my muses come around from their numerous vacations. All stories and poetry are copyrighted to myself unless stated otherwise. Alot of the stories need to be worked on, edited, etc.. right now I'm just trying to locate them and get them all in one place.
If your looking for a certain kind of fic then go straight to the tags..there will be more added as I write the stories.
